English architect of the Arts and Craft Movement, the popular design style during the late 1800s. He stated that he had decided to become an architect “because it was the only profession I could take up without passing any examinations”.
Whitwood Terrace in Castleford is only one of two houses that he designed. As well as the houses, he also designed the fixtures and furnishings.
